KeySetter Connect with Closed Loop provides the greatest level of automation in the pressroom with a direct connection to the press console and an online scanner allowing for quick and efficient verification of the entire press sheet color bar on a frequent basis through the entire run.
KeySetter Connect with Closed Loop takes the press operator more step further than ink key presetting by integrating a scanning spectrophotometer capable of reading (scanning) the entire press sheet color bar and feeding this data back to the KeySetter Connect software.
With just a few keystrokes, the press operator can accept the scanned data and send feedback to the press console to adjust the ink keys. The scanner allows the press operator to more quickly read a color bar. Rather than reading only selected patches, the entire color bar is read by the scanner providing for even greater quality control throughout the press run.
The advantage of both KeySetter Connect and KeySetter Connect with Closed Loop is the direct interaction between the KeySetter software and the press console. With either application, the press settings may be read back to the KeySetter software providing the ability for the system to “learn” and make more intelligent and accurate future adjustments.
